FUTURECALC — VVS / TAKEOFF / COSTING

Upload the drawing. Get the quantity.

FutureCalc reads the VVS drawing and produces the quantity in minutes. Every metre traceable to the drawing, never guessed. You review, edit and export to your estimate.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. Nothing to install.

  1. 1ABOUT 1 MIN

    Upload the drawing

Upload a PDF drawing. Meridian, our AI, checks the file immediately and lets you know if it cannot be read. The price in credits is shown on the drawing before you continue.

  2. 2A FEW MINUTES

    Meridian reads

The model cleans up the drawing and locates pipes, walls and labels. It then links them together and starts measuring. You follow every step in real time.

  3. 3YOU DECIDE

    Review, edit, export

Open any row to see the results. Correct any errors in just a few clicks, then export to Wikells, your estimating software, XLSX or Bluebeam.

CHAPTER I — MERIDIAN

Meridian reads the drawing like an estimator, without the stress and pressure

Meridian is FutureCalc’s own model, trained on plumbing and HVAC drawings. It reads the drawing using its labels and their leader lines. Anything that cannot be determined is marked as ambiguous and clearly highlighted in the takeoff.

02 — THE PROBLEM

Costing should not be what slows you down.

A manual takeoff takes days or weeks, depending on the size of the project. FutureCalc reads the drawing and shows the basis for every metre. You get a production estimate straight away, without having to prepare the same estimate twice.

Days become minutes

Upload the drawing, get the quantity before the coffee is ready.

02

Every row can be opened

Label, leader line, pipe, scale. The results are included in the export.

03

Uncertain results are flagged, never guessed

The total measurement is broken down into parts. Changes in pipe size are shown with a confidence level.

WHAT YOU CAN RELY ON

The drawing is the only source

No quantity comes from an earlier project or a template. Everything comes from the sheet you uploaded.

Scale is always checked

No metre is counted before the scale is confirmed. If it is missing, the model says so instead of guessing.

Uncertain is flagged

When the drawing is not enough for a sure answer you see it on the row, with the reason. You decide.

Improves with your corrections

Every row you correct becomes a reference for the next reading of your drawings. If you want to contribute to the shared model, that is your choice.

CHAPTER II

From drawing to quantity

The drawing in, the quantity list out. Every metre traceable back to the stroke it came from.

CHAPTER III

Built for the estimator

Everything you do in Bluebeam and Excel today, in one place, with the drawing as the only source. This is what you will use every day.

Automatic takeoff with Meridian

Upload the drawing. A few minutes later you have the pipe lengths, split by dimension and material.

Designations are read from the sheet and bound to the pipes through the leaders. Scale is verified before a single metre is counted. What cannot be decided is flagged, never guessed.

Manual takeoff that recognises the whole run

One click on the pipe marks the whole run. Material and dimension come from the drawing’s legend.

No point-by-point clicking as in Bluebeam. Snap, ortho and deductions are still there when you want to draw yourself, and everything you draw lands in the same quantity list as the automatic reading.

3D view

See how the installations run through the building before you count them.

The plan rises into a model: risers through slabs, shafts, system by system. You spot what is unclear on the flat sheet in seconds.

Collaboration in the project

Several estimators in the same project, even on the same drawing.

Split the document set between you, review each other’s rows and keep one shared facit. Roles and permissions per company.

Export to Wikells and Excel

The quantities land directly in the estimating system, with price and carbon value per row, not in a sheet you retype by hand.

Export to Wikells, XLSX and CSV, plus Bluebeam markup if a colleague wants to review in their usual tool. Every row keeps designation, dimension, length and its source in the drawing, so the carbon figure in the tender can be traced when the client asks.

Installation catalogue and material book

KV, VV, VVC, S and VS with the right materials from the start. Adapt the catalogue to how your office counts.

The default catalogue covers the common systems and materials. You add your own articles, prices and labour times, so the quantity becomes a costing without rewriting.

Projects, revisions and history

The whole document set in one project. New revision, same project, the difference in metres.

Folders, roles and a history of who changed what and when. When a new revision arrives you re-read the sheet and see what moved, instead of taking everything off again.

CHAPTER IV — FUTURECALC ACADEMY

Knowledge becomes precision.

An estimator who does not understand the drawing cannot review a machine that has read it. Academy teaches drawing reading, takeoff and estimating on real practice drawings. You measure yourself, the system corrects, and you see exactly where you lost the metres.

Interactive exercises

Take off pipes directly on the drawing. Tolerance ±2 %.

Component marking

Find valves, drains and apparatus on the sheet.

Costing exercises

You can upload drawings as PDF files. Vector PDFs support automatic annotation and quantity takeoff with Meridian. PDFs containing a photo or a scanned drawing work too: you can annotate them and take off quantities manually in the platform.
